How overrated is this guy?

I keep waiting for him to prove his worth and live up to his expectations but he constantly loses possession, does not give the defence much protection and barely provides any assists.

I would be surprised if we take up the option of a further 2 years at the end of the season.

Great result today!

Re: SONG
If you cast your mind back to last season up until Christmas, you'll see he isn't overrated.

He is massively out of form, though

Re: SONG
Technically, Song and Payet are probably our best players.

Lanzini and Sakho are probably close behind them.

Re: SONG
Brilliant player. Played out of position today, no movement around him and he often tries to play at a higher tempo than his teammates are at the moment.
I think we have to buy players of his calibre if we want to improve the quality of the squad.
Need to find the right balance in the team to see the best of him. He thrived with two mobile forwards in Sahko and Valencia and the full backs making runs forward last year.

Yep fuck of Swindon.

Slagging off players when we win!!!!

Re: SONG
He's got an eye infection at the moment, hence the shades, but he'll do more good than harm when he has players with pace and intelligent movement in front of him.

It's true he was a bit of a liability today, the way the team were playing first half.

He's been out months give him time
If he don't improve we don't go there

Re: SONG
Not sure Song & Noble is an effective partnership, both lacking pace however Song is far more skillful in every aspect. When fit we'll see thebest of him& he'll thrive with Payet & Lanzini

Re: SONG
Him and Carroll are bang out of form.

Give them a month or two with the side playing well and I think we will see them back to their best.

This team will be very good with a healthy Payet and Lanzini Song in particular.

Not as overrated as our fans are.

Re: SONG
The most important thing is that Sullivan totally disagrees and is itching to sign him permanently at the end of the season.

He will be great when fully fit and in a better formation.

Re: SONG
Song hasn't played with Lanzini and Payet yet.

Those two players on his wavelength should help take us to a higher level... hoping for a storming second half to what has been a great season so far.
